Junior athletes learn to shoot clay targets with a shotgun in a safe, competitive, controlled environment under the guidance of certified adult coaching staff.

The Michigan Scholastic Clay Target Program is part of a nationwide program dedicated to :

1. Teach safe and responsible handing and use of firearms.
2. Provide a team-based fun program with a focus on youth development.
3. Introduce young athletes to a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime; one that offers a level playing field and one that offers all family members an opportunity to enjoy together!

American disciplines of trap, skeet and sporting clays, along with the Olympic disciplines of bunker trap, doubles trap and international skeet are available.

All athletes must be academically eligible to participate in the MI SCTP sports program.
